During the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee HE. Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong praised the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the past and desired that HE. Mr. Sasaki Hajime would continue to support and promote the cooperation between the two nations in the near future; Support Binh Phuoc province in connecting with a number of Japanese localities to learn and establish cooperation relations at the local level; concurrently, introduce and select reputable and experienced Japanese investors to survey and implement investment projects in line with the province's potential and strengths.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Delegation greeted Kanagawa Prefecture Governor Mr. Yuji Kuroiwa. Here, the two provinces of Binh Phuoc and Kanagawa engaged in their first exchange and developed an amicable working partnership. Simultaneously, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, HE. Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation between the two localities in the fields of people-to-people diplomacy and cultural diplomacy, suggesting the Governor of Kanagawa province to pay special attention to selecting and introducing prominent and experienced Japanese investors to Binh Phuoc for investment surveys and collaboration, particularly in vocational training and smart urban development planning...

Japan is currently Vietnam's primary economic partner and largest ODA donor. Japan is the third largest foreign direct investment partner and the fourth largest trading partner as of 2021. Numerous big Japanese investment projects have been successfully completed and put into operation, leaving a lasting impression on regions and regions of Vietnam, particularly in the fields of infrastructure development and agriculture. In the near future, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will enter into force, which is anticipated to significantly enhance investment and commercial cooperation between Japan and Vietnam.
